The difference in two lines
Plain is Alkief Blend on its own. With cardamom is the same blend with cardamom in it. Not two blends, not two roast levels, and not two recipes prepared on separate paths.
What matters in practice is that the choice happens when you order: the cardamom is inside the coffee in the package, not something added to the cup.
Why the choice is settled before you buy
You can add cardamom yourself to plain coffee, but you cannot take it out of a cardamom package. That is why anyone undecided usually starts with plain and tries cardamom on a later order.
And if one household holds both tastes, there is nothing to decide: the order form accepts up to five items in a single request, so you can add one of each in one go.
When to choose plain
Plain suits anyone who wants the coffee itself, with no aromatic addition:
- You want the cup to taste of coffee and nothing else.
- You would rather control the amount of cardamom yourself while brewing.
- You want a neutral everyday coffee that suits any hour and any guest.
- You are brewing for people whose taste you do not know yet.
When to choose cardamom
Cardamom suits anyone who wants the aromatic Arabic character ready in the package:
- You want the aromatic character associated with Arabic coffee gatherings.
- You serve coffee to guests and prefer not to add a step while brewing.
- The household is used to cardamom and you would rather not measure it each time.
- You enjoy the aroma that comes with brewing it.
What about the other blends?
The cardamom option belongs to Alkief. Classic, Dark and Espresso are offered as they are: Classic is a balanced everyday blend, Dark is stronger with a darker roast, and Espresso is made for concentrated coffee and espresso-based drinks.

Ordering the style you chose
Alkief packages, plain and with cardamom, come in 125 g and 250 g with a standard grind already done. If you want another weight or a particular grind, order the blend by weight and choose the level — the detail is in how to choose your grind.
